quickie d.i.y. washi details

1. Washi sticker knobs
I bought this dresser at Walmart last year because it was solid wood and cheap... but it was also boring. I wanted to do something to personalize it, but I have a hard time commiting to painting wood. Instead, I used this tutorial to make removable, pink and gold stickers for the knobs.
I made a long stripe of washi tape on parchment paper, traced circles on the back side of the parchment paper, then cut them out and transferred them onto the knobs.

2. Washi outlined doors
Photos do not do this one justice, but I love the way it looks in person. I outlined the panels of my kitchen door with two different shades of turquoise polka-dotted washi tape. After doing this, I thought that this would be a cool way to add faux panels to a flat door, but I don't have any to test it out on... future project!

I bought most of my washi tape while in Korea, but I have also ordered from PrettyTape on Etsy, and Omiyage. It can be a little expensive, but keep your eyes open for sales. Michael's carries washi tape too, but the colours and patterns tend to be a little less cool.
